Moisture

Whilst my hair is in braids its very important that I keep it moisturized and dont just forget about my own hair underneath.  I was in town a few weeks ago with my friend and we picked up some glycerin from Boots (by the way it was 89p). Glycerin is a humectant which basically means that is attracts water from the air.  So as my hair is in braids it works really well as I can maintain moisture whilst my hair is still in braids.  I add a small amount of glycerin to my water bottle and top the rest up with water.  Im  not using glycerin on its own as it would be too heavy.
**SIDE NOTE**
Glycerin should not be used in extreme weather conditions such as extreme coldness/humidity, because when there is no moisture in the air the glycerin will take moisture from the next available source your hair.  Defeating the purpose of the gylcerin.
