Jamaican Black Castor Oil and Thinning Edges

A few months ago I came across an article on bglhonline about a fellow blogger who had helped her mother grow  her sparse edges into healthy thick edges within 5months.
Wow, I know the results are amazing. Gabrielle (the blogger) said that she advised her mum to use Jamaican Black Castor Oil for 5months applying it every night and these are her results.
A few weeks ago Ola and I purchased some JBCOfrom a UK online website Sheabutter Cottage as that's the only place I knew that sold the stuff in its pure form. I'd heard of the JBCO way back in the summer and I casually by passed it because I wasnt too interested in it. One of the main reasons I purchased the JBCO was because Akua, the owner of Shea Butter Cottage was SOOOOOO helpful and kind. I called her in the summer to ask about the JBCO as she wasnt in and I didn't leave a message and she called me straight back asking how she could help me. When I called again in January, she answered right away and was happy to help me. Within the space of 10 mins I called her about 3times and she was so willing to answer my questions about her products and other products. Now if thats not great service I don't know what is. By the way,  I'm not the sort of person that is caught up on her length and wanting to achieve progress fast I'm just trying to achieve healthy hair, but Akua's helpfulness and the fact she's a fellow Ghanaian made me want to support her and her business. A small percentage of my purchase also went to her helping hand programme. Akua, sells a ton of other products like shea butter, black soap etc and if you live in the UK they are usually sent to you within 2 working days she also ships to Europe. So, if you can't find any of your  hair products in your area make sure you check her out!
Ola bought the 118ml and including postaging and packaging it cost her £13 and I bought the 236ml bottle and it cost me £16. It's quite expensive I know, but I know I will use the stuff thats why I opted for the bigger bottle. Besides if it does work majorly for growth I will use the JBCO in my deep conditions as you all know how much I love them lol.
I've only been using the JBCO for 3 weeks, I oil my scalp once a week and it seems to do the trick as I my scalp doesnt feel dry at all. I'm still rocking my box braids, I havent been that creative with them as I've been rather lazy but they are still in. Oh, I'm thinking of doing my own yarn braids sometime in the summer, its still a though but I shall keep you all posted (",) I've got to watch enough youtube tutorials on it first. haha

  1. OMG the difference is amazing! Im gonna tell a bunch of my friends

  2. Lool. Yeah the results for her were amazing. I'm not using the JBCO as often as her but we shall see how my results go (",)

  3. Wow! I'm going to start using my JBCO for my edges now that I know it ca do that!
Oh yeah! S/O my Fellow Ghanaians in London <3

  4. It says to only let it sit and your hair for 20 minutes. But what I do is a couple days before im going to wash my hair, I put it n before I go to sleep. Then I wash my hair as I normally would. A little goes a long way with this stuff so I just oil my scalp tgen use a dime sized amount to rub on my ends. But try not to leave it n too long because iv heard it makws ur scalp a but itchy, I however have never had tht problem.
