DIY Scalp Souffle with LYT.

If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that this year I am embarking on a DIY journey which includes hair oils, whips, braids and my latest project hair soufflés. A few weeks ago Fiona and I of LoveYourTresses made a scalp soufflé using her own recipe with some additions. I really enjoy getting together with other people who are as passionate about hair as I am, you can learn so much from each other!

Ingredients
Shea Butter
Jamaican Black Castor Oil
Avocado Oil
Vitamin E Oil
Lavender Oil
Aloe Vera Gel
Sweet Almond Oil
Camillia Oil

     Directions
  1. Melt the shea butter in a saucepan on the cooker.
  2. Once it has all melted leave to cool down before you add your additional essential oils.
  3. Add your essentials oils, carrier oils with a splash of aloe vera gel and leave to cool down.
  4.  Once it has cooled down put it in the fridge for a few minutes to solidify and then store in a cool dry place.

This has more of an oily consistency as is better suited for my scalp than my shea butter whip. As soon as I touch the soufflé it turns into an oil which is easy to use on my scalp and doesn't leave any white residue. I'm happy with this my latest DIY adventure and I'm sure I would do it again. However, next time I think I will leave out the Aloe Vera Gel.
